Medical ID is your digital medical profile. In an emergency, helpers and doctors can see your most important health data via your QR code or a PIN – without having to log in.

Create an account

  1. Open app.medical-id.org.
  2. Select Register, enter your Email address and a strong password, and select Create account. Alternatively, you can use Continue with Google if this option is offered.
  3. Confirm your Email address via the link sent to you or with the 6-digit Verification Code. If the link has expired, select Resend link.
  4. When you log in for the first time, onboarding will guide you through the most important details.

When you complete the onboarding for the first time, a free trial period of 30 days begins. After that, the free scope applies or you unlock Lifetime once.

  • Go to app.medical-id.org and log in with email and password.
  • If you've set up a passkey, you can also select Log in with Passkey on a supported device.
  • In the user menu, open Personal Data and switch to the Security tab. From there, you can manage two-factor authentication and passkeys, sign out active devices and sessions, and check Login activity.

Forgot password

  1. Click Forgot password? on the login page.
  2. Enter your Email address.
  3. You will receive an email with a link to set a new password.

The dashboard – your overview

After logging in, you'll see your dashboard with a progress bar, how complete your profile is, and the sections: - Personal Data – name, photo, address, availability, height, weight, language skills and health insurance. - Medical Profile – under Medical History you care for allergies, medications, diagnoses, vaccinations, etc. - Emergency contacts – People who are notified in the event of an emergency. - Advance Directive – your pension text as a PDF. - QR products – connect your wristbands, pendants, or cards to the account.

Work through the list How to get your Medical ID up and running in order. At least one confirmed emergency contact, a Advance Directive and a connected QR product are particularly important. Then check what the profile looks like for helpers via Emergency View.
