In an emergency, helpers or doctors need to see your most important health data quickly – without logging in. There are two ways to do this.
Two ways to an emergency profile
- Scan QR code: A helper scans the QR code on your product (wristband, pendant, card...). It will take you to a page that displays your emergency profile.
- Enter PIN: Alternatively, a helper can enter the PIN via the emergency page. This will give them access to your emergency record. Optionally, they can provide a phone number for callbacks (this will be automatically deleted after 30 days).
What happens during the scan
- Your emergency profile is displayed without logging in. Personal data, Emergency contacts and Advance Directive are visible in the Free scope; during the trial phase and with Lifetime, Medical History, Quick Check and treatment instructions are added.
- Saved Emergency contacts can be notified via email and SMS if the required contact details are available and notifications are enabled. The confirmation status displayed in the interface is separate from this.
- You can optionally receive an email as soon as one of your QR codes is scanned.
- To prevent abuse, contacts will not be alerted again with each subsequent scan within an 18-hour blocking period.
What helpers see
Depending on your plan and settings, you'll see things like: - Personal Data and Emergency contacts - Your medical history (allergies, medications, diagnoses...) - The Quick Check (quick yes/no indications such as heart attack, pacemaker, diabetes) - A note if you are Jehovah's Witness (religious guidelines on blood products) - Your Advance Directive and – if unlocked and available – other Documents
Quick Check
The Quick Check gives first responders the most important information at a glance. When you activate the list, you must fill it out completely – incomplete information can lead to dangerous miscalculations in an emergency. You confirm that you have answered each point carefully and truthfully.
Custom Preview
Via Emergency View you can see your emergency profile with the same tariff-dependent areas that are shared during the scan. Check this view for important changes and before using the QR product in everyday life.
