You can send a test directly from the Smart Emails editor before or after installing the template in Shopify.

Send from Smart Emails

  1. Open the template you want to test.
  2. Click Send Test.
  3. Enter the recipient email address.
  4. Send the message and wait for the confirmation.
  5. Check the inbox and spam folder. Delivery can take a few minutes depending on the receiving mail server.

Smart Emails saves the latest editor state before generating the test. The test uses preview data, so it is suitable for checking layout, colors, images, links, mobile behavior, and dark mode.

Preview in Shopify

  1. Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Notifications
  2. Click on a template
  3. Click Preview to see how it looks

Test Shopify's real notification

After installation, create a Shopify test order or trigger the relevant real notification. This verifies Shopify's notification event, customer locale, Liquid data, and final subject line in addition to the design.

|| Tip: Test both the Smart Emails preview message and a real Shopify notification. They validate different parts of the delivery chain.
