Smart Emails saves editor changes automatically. There is no regular Save button.
Save timing
After you stop editing, the editor normally waits about two seconds and writes the current design to the Smart Emails database. Some editor actions force a save immediately, including workflows that must generate current output.
What is saved
Auto-Save stores the template sections, content, global colors, typography, buttons, footer, Shop Links, banner, marketing settings, layout, and other design values belonging to the design set.
Shopify synchronization
Supported live settings are also synchronized to Shopify Metafields. This is a separate operation and can finish shortly after the database save.
Closing the editor
Wait until the saving indicator has finished before closing the editor, exporting, or changing pages. Smart Emails also uses safe load gates so an incomplete editor load cannot overwrite an existing saved design.
|| Auto-Save does not remove the need for a new primary export after structural changes such as adding, deleting, or moving sections.
